Fat Dog Bare Their Teeth on Blistering New Single 'Shit Love'

Fat Dog released “Shit Love” on July 28, the third single from their forthcoming second album Cancel Me (I’m Tired), due out October 2 via Domino Records. The track pairs stabbing synths and leering post-punk riffs with frontman Joe Love’s manic vocal delivery, tackling a relationship he describes as between “two insane people who argue constantly” — the kind that’s a “world-ender every time.”

The single follows previously released tracks “Cancel Me (I’m Tired)” and “Go Fuck Urself,” continuing to build anticipation for the follow-up to the band’s acclaimed 2024 debut WOOF. The new album spans, in the band’s words, “electro-pop anthems, cascading rave bangers, bombastic strings, cowboy-tinged pitstops and swirling psychedelia.”

Fat Dog have been on a hot streak lately, having recently opened stadium shows for Foo Fighters. They’ll follow the album’s release with UK in-store appearances and live dates running from August through December, including a stop at Mutations Festival in Brighton and a headline show at O2 Academy Brixton.
