Jacques Greene Announces New Album 'jg,' Shares Lead Single 'Presence'

Jacques Greene has announced his fourth full-length album, jg, out October 16 on LuckyMe, and shared its lead single, “Presence.” The record follows 2025’s Verses GT, a collaborative album with Nosaj Thing, and finds Greene pulling back from the reverb-heavy haze that’s defined his sound for over a decade.

“After stripping away a ton of filters and reverbs, a more direct, sometimes intense, collection of work emerged,” Greene said of the album. “It’s me, it’s jg.” He’s described the record elsewhere as feeling “more firmly planted inside” the club than his past few releases — a return to functional, dancefloor-first production after years of drifting toward ambient textures.

jg brings in a wide cast of collaborators, including crushed, CFCF, Jonah Yano, SEES00000, Ouri, SAM-E, umru, and Sølv, following previously shared singles “What You Say” (with umru) and “Closer” (with DJ Boring). “Presence” is out now; jg arrives in full October 16.
