Leon Bridges Unveils 'Happiness Anytime' — His Warmest, Grooviest Album Yet, Arriving in Three Parts

Leon Bridges announced his new album Happiness Anytime on July 20, revealing it will arrive September 25 via Columbia Records — his fifth studio LP, following 2024’s self-titled Leon. Rather than a single drop, the record is being released in three four-song installments, and the first batch is out now: “Light The Way,” “Tears Of Joy,” “Illusion,” and “Your Love Is Electric.”

The new songs were produced by J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto of Jungle, blending the warmth of Bridges’ 2015 debut with an adventurous groove that leans into Jamaican dancehall rhythms. Bridges has described his role simply: “My role is to be light,” he said, hoping the music will “linger with people and linger in people’s bones.”

Ahead of the announcement, Bridges played pop-up shows in Paris, Cannes, Los Angeles, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and London’s Jazz Café to preview the new material live.
